| The undersigned, hereby apply for membership in the Greensboro Police Officers Association. I designate the GPOA as my representative in matters relating to my economic welfare, including wages, hours, and working conditions. I also designate the GPOA as my representative in FLSA matters and in any grievances.I also hereby authorize the GPOA to draft funds equal to my monthly dues ($15.00) from the account indicated on the attached voided check. Dues will be drafted the first business day following the 15th of each month. |

Note: Once your application is processed and approved, you will receive a membership packet in the mail. If you do not receive your packet within 2-3 weeks of applying, please contact the Membership Director H.E.(Eddy) Summers,I.S.D., Canine Squad. Your membership packet should contain a membership handbook, a membership
card, a SWAT knife, and a GPOA t-shirt. If any of these items are missing, again, please contact H.E.(Eddy) Summers.
If you have any problems or questions concerning your membership, don’t hesitate to contact any of the Executive Officers or any Members of the Board of Directors listed below. You may call the union office at 336-274-9595.
Please make sure to read your membership handbook in its entirety!! You will be responsible for making sure that you understand fully what your benefits are as a member of the GPOA. If there is any doubt after reading your membership handbook concerning a specific benefit, call and ask for clarification.
You must remain a member in good standing at all times. Failure to pay your dues on time can result in a suspension of your membership. Reinstatement of your membership costs $100. Failure to remain a member in good standing can also affect your eligibility to receive your Member Retirement Gift Fund check upon retirement. You are responsible for notifying the union office of any chances in your mailing address, telephone number and checking account information.
Union meetings are held the first Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at the union office located at 241 Summit Ave., Suite 108. We are inside the Porter and Associates building. The meeting is catered and is open to all members.
