Please use
the following procedures to contact an attorney regarding an
officer-involved use of deadly force or other serious job-related
incidents.
The Greensboro Police Officers Association
has entered into an agreement with the firm of Moss & Mason to
provide advice and consultation with Greensboro Police Officers Association
members who have been involved in an officer-involved shooting or other
serious job-related incident. If you are involved in such an incident,
you can obtain advice and help by contacting:
William L.
Hill
Office: (336) 378-9411
If
necessary, you can place these calls collect. By identifying yourself as
a Greensboro Police Officers Association member, that call will be
accepted by Mr. Hill.
Your
discussion with Mr. Hill will be confidential; protected by the
attorney-client privilege, and Mr. Hill will discuss anything you tell
them either with the Greensboro Police Officers Association or its
Executive Officers or members of the Board of Directors, unless
specifically authorized to do so by you.
When calling
Mr. Hill, be sure to identify yourself as a member of the Greensboro Police Officers Association
to either the receptionist or other person answering the phone. If that
person tells you that Mr. Hill is available, tell that person who you
are, that you are a member of the Greensboro Police Officers Association,
that it is an emergency situation and that it is essential that you talk
with someone as soon as possible. That person should then take your name
and telephone number and tell you when you can expect to hear from Mr.
Hill or another attorney in his firm.
ATTENTION:
Carry your Greensboro Police Officers Association membership card with
you at all times. On the back of your membership card are all of Mr.
Hill's telephone numbers - for after hours and during regular business
hours.
